Four incumbent judges for the 24th Judicial District – Greg Horn, Hal Harrison, Becca Eggers-Gryder and Ted McEntire – were sworn in at the Avery County Courthouse in Newland on Jan. 1, 2017. 

The 24th Judicial District is comprised of Avery, Madison, Mitchell Watauga and  Yancey counties.
