Heritage Hall Presents ‘Always a Bridesmaid’ Beginning Friday and Carson Peters

Heritage Hall Theatre continues its spring 2015 lineup with “Always a Bridesmaid” which will premiere on Friday, March 13, and will show again March 14, 15, 20 and 21 at the theatre. The show will be presented by Johnson County Community Theatre and tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door and $5 for students with valid ID. The showtimes are 7 p.m. on March 13, 14, 20 and 21 and 3 p.m. on March 15.

Four women made a vow at their senior high school prom, in which none of them had dates, that they would be bridesmaids in each other’s weddings, no matter what. Their 40-year friendship plays out on stage like a clip from “The Carol Burnett Show,” there are plenty of outrageous costumes.

Heritage Hall, located in Mountain City, Tenn., has announced the first portion of its highly anticipated 2015 lineup, and 2015 just happens to be Heritage Hall’s tenth year bringing shows to the Mountain City area. Much like every year, next year’s series of performances will include theatrical shows, live music and more, all at affordable prices.

Started in 2005, Heritage Hall Theatre has been providing the community with quality entertainment for all ages. The theater itself can hold 388 spectators and is dedicated to presenting a variety of performances as well as hosting numerous community events throughout the year.

An Evening with Fiddlin’ Carson Peters will be held on Saturday, April 25 at 7 p.m. Cost of admission is $5 per person.

From a release:

Carson Peters, or “Fiddlin’ Carson Peters,” as he is also known, started playing the fiddle at the ripe old age of three when his parents bought him a 1/8 size fiddle. By age four, he was playing in fiddle competitions and jamming at musical festivals. Carson has continued to hone his fiddling and singing talents with which he feels so fortunate to have been blessed and has won many competitions along the way. 

Kody Norris and the Watauga Mountain Boys will perform on Saturday, May 16, at 7 p.m. Tickets for the show are $10 in advance, $12 at the door and $5 for students.

On Saturday, May 30, Wayne Henderson, Jeff Little and Helen White will perform at Heritage Hall. The show will begin at 7 p.m. and tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Student tickets are just $5.

Johnson County Community Theatre will present “9 to 5″ starting Friday, June 19. The production’s showtimes are 7 p.m. on June 19, 20, 26 and 27 and 3 p.m. on June 21. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door with tickets for students priced at $5.

On Saturday, July 18, Heritage Hall will present The Blue Highway Band. Tickets for the 7 p.m. show are $20 in advance and $23 at the door, with student tickets $10. Early reservations are highly recommended for this show.
