Independence Day in the High Country: Fireworks Displays You Don’t Want to Miss

No Independence Day celebration in the High Country is complete without a night spent under the stars enjoying one of the area’s fantastic fireworks displays. Read below to find out when and where to see the show!

 Boone Fireworks — 9:30 p.m.

Head over to Clawson-Burnley Park (located off of Hunting Hills Lane near the “tot lot” baseball fields and Greenway) to see the fireworks display in Boone on Saturday night. Enjoy entertainment from DJ Carl beginning at 7 p.m. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and get comfortable, because the fireworks begin around 9:30 p.m.

Blowing Rock Fireworks — 9:30 p.m.

Stop by the country club on Saturday night to see the best fireworks display in Blowing Rock! The club is open to the public for the show, which will begin at 9:30 p.m. following the town’s annual Fourth of July parade and festival. The club is located at 200 Country Club Drive in Blowing Rock.

Beech Mountain Fireworks — nightfall

Join the Mile High Fourth of July and 47th annual Roasting of the Hog at Beech Mountain Resort on Saturday night. Get tickets for a barbecue dinner (6-8 p.m.) and enjoy activities, lift rides and more. The evening will conclude with a fireworks display after dark.

Tweetsie Railroad Fireworks Extravaganza — 9:30 p.m.

The park will remain open until 9 p.m. and fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday. $10 per car to view the fireworks, no parking charge for Golden Rail season pass holders. Click here to learn more about Tweetsie’s Fourth of July celebration and dinner options that will be available.

Bethel Blast — nightfall

Join Bethel Baptist Church, 123 Mountain Dale Road in Vilas, for the annual Bethel Blast Fourth of July Celebration! Food, fireworks, fellowship and music from Amantha Mill, Native Son, Blue Country and Bethel Road. Festivities will take place in the adjacent Bethel park beginning at 5 p.m. with fireworks after dark. Don’t miss the best fireworks show in the High Country!

Crossnore Fireworks — nightfall

The fireworks display hosted by the volunteer fire department on Saturday night will follow the annual Fourth of July festivities taking place all day long in Crossnore.
