The Mountain Laurel Quilt Guild to Hold Spring Luncheon Thurs., June 1

The Mountain Laurel Quilt Guild will hold its spring luncheon on Thursday, June 1st, at 11:30 AM at the Laurel Fork Baptist Church in Boone.  From Boone take 321 south and turn left on to Aho Road.  Go 1.8 miles and turn left on Laurel Fork Church Road (there will be a sign on the right side of the road for the church).  Go up the hill to the church.  From the Parkway turn onto Aho Road and then turn right on Friendship Church Road and then left on Laurel Fork Church Road to the church.  Our program will be “The “History of American Quilts”, presented by Renada Miller.  After lunch we will also have a short business meeting and a swearing-in ceremony for our new officers.  Bring your antique/historical quilts for show-and-tell.  Call Dolores at 828-295-6148 if you have any questions.

Johnson County Community Theatre presents “Doublewide, Texas” a Jones, Hope and Wooten comedy at Heritage Hall in Mountain City, TN. June 2,3,9,10 at 7pm, also at 3pm on June 10.
