Who is Orpheus? The Orpheus Chamber Orchestra Performs at Appalachian State University Feb. 25

Feb. 24, 2014. Grammy Award-winning Orpheus Chamber Orchestra makes their debut performance at Appalachian State University on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at the Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts. Who is Orpheus?

New York City’s Orpheus Chamber Orchestra has been asking the question “who is Orpheus” to audiences around the world. The answer… we all are. For 40 years, the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra has been stunning audiences with their magnificent talent and unusual creative process. They have no conductor. They put democracy at the center of their artistic process and everyone participates. Their shows are high-energy, collaborative and unique.

imgres-2Adult tickets to the show are $20 and student tickets are $10. This event offers a special discount of $16 for patrons 55 years and older. In order to receive the discount, call or visit the Schaefer Center box office. The Pick 5 discount is available for this show and offers a break on the ticket price when the tickets are purchased in multiples of five. The Pick 5 discount is offered on most of the events during the 2014 Performing Arts Series.
