March 10, 2012. Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute invites the community to celebrate the release of Branches, CCC&TI’s annual arts and literary publication. The first reception is scheduled for 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on March 20 in the Seila Gallery (Building S) on the Caldwell Campus of CCC&TI in Hudson.The second reception is scheduled for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on March 27 on the Watauga Campus in Boone. Artists’ work will be on display and writers will be reading from their works.
Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute’s Corporate and Continuing Education Division will offer a “Small Engine Repair” class on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Watauga Occupational Training Facility on the Watauga Campus in Boone from 6 to 9 p.m. April 3 through May 24. The class is for anyone who wants to learn the ins and outs of how a small 2-cycle and 4-cycle engine operates. The cost for the class is $121. To register, or for more information, call 263-5370.
Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute’s Global Diversity Committee is sponsoring an International Coffee Hour at Appalachian State University’s Whitewater Cafe in the Plemmons Student Union from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. on April 4. The event will include international foods, coffee, music and conversation.
