Oct. 31, 2012.  Both Watauga County Schools and Avery County Schools will be operating on a two-hour delay on Thursday, Nov. 1, due to inclement weather associated with the recent impacts of Hurricane/Superstorm Sandy.

WCS and ACS were both closed today due to the snow.

For WCS buses will run limited routes. At ACS faculty and staff will report on a regular schedule if it is safe for them to do so.

No decision has been announced for Appalachian State University as of press time, but the university operated on a regular schedule today. Currently, AppalCART, Boone’s public transportation service, has not announced any closures on routes. AppalCART was closed on Tuesday.

For more information on possible closures at ASU or AppalCART, visit appstate.edu and appalcart.com.
