Sept. 6, 2012. Appalachian State University will host Fall Open House Saturday, Sept. 22, from 9 a.m. to noon in Holmes Convocation Center for prospective students and their families to learn more about Appalachian’s academics and campus life.
The event begins with a 30-minute family assembly, followed by an information fair at which students and parents can talk one-on-one with faculty and current students and learn more about academic majors and the admissions process.
There also will be information sessions on financial aid, scholarships, First Year Seminar, study abroad, diversity, leadership, residential learning communities and other special opportunities that make up “the Appalachian experience.”
Students will lead tours of campus and opportunities to tour residence halls, and academic departments will host open houses.
Free parking near the Holmes Center for the event will be available.
Registration is preferred but not required. For more information about Fall Open House and to pre-register, visit openhouse.appstate.edu or call the Office of Admissions at 828-262-2120.
