Weekly Crime Reports: Activity and Arrests in Boone and Watauga County, Aug. 3 – 10

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The following were provided by the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office.

Aug. 4

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering was reported at 262 Bluebird Lane in Boone.

INCIDENT: Assault on a female was reported at 3070 Wildcat Road in Deep Gap.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 1568 Powder Horn Mountain Road in Deep Gap.

ARREST: A female suspect, 56, of 155 Culps Drive in Boone, was charged with DWI. She was held under a $20,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A male suspect, 38, of 3070 Wildcat Road in Deep Gap, was charged with assault on a female. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

ARREST: A female suspect, 38, of 2333 Phillips Branch Road in Vilas, was charged with M-Aid and Abet AISI. She was held under a $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 31.

ARREST: A male suspect, 32, of 512 Browns Chapel Road in Boone, was charged with misdemeanor worthless check.

Aug. 5

INCIDENT: Communicating threats and harassing phone calls were reported at a construction site on Blowing Rock Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at 113 Lawrence Greene Road in Deep Gap.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 476 Hardaman Circle in Boone.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 245 Bishops Ridge Parkway in Blowing Rock.

INCIDENT: Communicating threats and harassing phone calls were reported at a construction site on Blowing Rock Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Misdemeanor larceny and a missing person were reported at 231 Smith Henson Road in Sugar Grove.

Aug. 6

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering, larceny and injury to real property were reported at 103 Chapel Hills Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 405 Holiday Hills Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 100 Vixen Lane in Blowing Rock.

Aug. 7

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 150 Positive Way Unit B in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, ofn174 Greenwood Lane in Boone, was charged with Communicating threats and contempt of court/perjury/court violations. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

Aug. 8

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at Glenn Henson’s Junkyard, 6364 U.S. Highway 421 N. in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Larceny of a firearm was reported at 378 Tarleton Circle in Boone.

INCIDENT: Drug violations were reported at 100 Pioneer Drive in Boone.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 136 W. Slabtown Road in Zionville.

INCIDENT: Possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana were reported at 1417 N.C. Highway 105 Bypass in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 39, of 121 Monteagle Drive Apt. B in Boone, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations. He was scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 11.

ARREST: A male suspect, 28, of 742 Presnell Road in Sugar Grove, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations.

Aug. 9

INCIDENT: Larceny – shoplifting and recovered stolen property were reported at 1466 Burkett Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 347 Green Turtle in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Assault on a female was reported at 9115 N.C. Highway 105 S. Unit 06 in Banner Elk.

INCIDENT: All other offenses/illegal dumping was reported at 1094 Ridge Road in Boone.

Aug. 10

INCIDENT: DVPO violation was reported at 1221 Stone Mountain Road in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Burglary – forcible entry was reported at 410 Parkcrest Drive in Boone.

INCIDENT: Vandalism and larceny were reported at 147 Roberts Drive in Boone.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering a motor vehicle and larceny from a motor vehicle were reported at 401 Parkcrest Drive in Boone.

INCIDENT: Hit and run property damage was reported at 4481 N.C. Highway 105 S. in Boone.

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 421 Oak Grove Road in Boone.

ARREST: A female suspect, 52, of 1221 Stone Mountain Road in Vilas, was charged with DVPO violation. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A female suspect, 38, of 230 Roberts Drive in Boone, was charged with injury to real property. She was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 9.

ARREST: A female suspect, 21, of 421 Oak Grove Road in Boone, was charged with simple physical assault. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

Aug. 11

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 828 Arnett Hollow Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and injury to personal property were reported at 1371 Silverstone Road in Zionville.

Aug. 3

INCIDENT: Breaking or entering a motor vehicle and intentional burning were reported at Charlie’s Napa Auto parts, 704 N.C. Highway 105 Ext.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 129 Waterdog Run in Sugar Grove, was charged with left of center and DWI. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A male suspect, 24, of 407 E. Washington St. in Greensboro, was charged with resisting a public officer, larceny and contempt of court/perjury/court violations. He was held under a $1,200 secured bond.

ARREST: A male suspect, 41, of 1767 Burkett Road in Boone, was charged with possession of stolen goods/property and breaking or entering a motor vehicle. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

Aug. 4

INCIDENT: A suspicious incident was reported at 1296 N.C. Highway 105.

INCIDENT: Fraud and larceny were reported at 1033 E. King St.

ARREST: A female suspect, 24, of 5229 Bamboo Road #2, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations. She was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 11.

Aug. 5

INCIDENT: Fraud – confidence games/larceny by trickery was reported at 296 Honeysuckle Lane in Council Oaks.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at the Town of Boone water tank, 354 Church St.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported on West King Street.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering was reported at 649 Greenway Road.

ARREST: A female suspect, 34, of 232 Old Savanah Drive in Goose Creek, was charged with larceny from a motor vehicle, breaking and entering a motor vehicle, failure to appear, financial card fraud and financial card theft. She was held under a $16,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

ARREST: A female suspect, 26, of 150 Ashford Drive in Olin, was charged with DWI. She was held under a $750 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A male suspect, 33, of 236 Woodring Circle in Boone, was charged with DWI. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

Aug. 6

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 489 W. King St.

INCIDENT: Assault on a female, intoxicated and disruptive and resist/delay/obstruct were reported at 115 Rogers Drive.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering a vehicle was reported at 151 Deer Valley Drive in a parking lot.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 115 Rogers Drive, was charged with assault on a female, intoxicated and disruptive and resist/obstruct/delay. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 9.

Aug. 7

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 309 Meadow Hill Drive Apt. 23.

ARREST: A male suspect, 33, of 167 Critcher Meadows Road, was charged with communicating threats and assault and battery. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

Aug. 8

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 165 N.C. Highway 105 Ext.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported on the 200 block of Howard Street.

INCIDENT: Larceny and poss MTBV/U-WN Not 19/20 were reported at Lowe’s Foods, 267 New Market Centre.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 4469 N.C. Highway 194 N., was charged with carless and reckless and DWI. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A male suspect, 30, of 1110 Pedro Shoun Lane in Mountain City, was charged with larceny and simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 20, of 154 Promised Land in Coward, was charged with failure to burn headlights, open container, DWI and driving after consumption – provisional. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

Aug. 9

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 1412 Ridge St. in Albemarle, was charged with failure to maintain lane control and DWI. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A male suspect, 18, of 2459 Mountain Dale Road in Vilas, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor and larceny. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 17, of 150 Church St., was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor and aid and abet larceny. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 53, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A female suspect, 36, of 397 Charlie Hicks Road in Banner Elk, was charged with trespassing. She was held under at $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.
