Weekly Crime Reports: Activity and Arrests in Boone and Watauga County, Aug. 23 – 31

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The following were provided by the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office.

Aug. 23

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 480 Roxanna St. in Boone, was charged with breaking or entering and larceny. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A male suspect, 31, of 478 Hardaman Circle in Boone, was charged with violation of a court order and second degree trespassing. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 9.

Aug. 24

ARREST: A female suspect, 25, of 222 Shady Grove in Boone, was charged with failure to appear on charges of DWLR. She was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 30.

ARREST: A female suspect, 18, of 428 Bluebird Lane in Boone, was charged with failure to appear. She was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 38, of 348 Monarch Lane in Deep Gap, was charged with felony probation violation and misdemeanor probation violation. He was held under a $47,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 31.

ARREST: A male suspect, 33, of 335 Mill Race Road in Boone, was charged with failure to pay. He was held under a $636 bond amount and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 14.

Aug. 25

INCIDENT: Possession of a controlled substance was reported at the Watauga County Jail.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 100 Tula Lane in Boone.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at 153 Payne Branch Road Unit A in Blowing Rock.

INCIDENT: Larceny and trespassing were reported at 1703 Wildcat Ridge Road in Deep Gap.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 3671 Ball Park Road in Newton, was charged with DWI. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

Aug. 26

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 792 Burkett Road in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 26, of 129 Sunshine Drive in Banner Elk, was charged with failure to appear on charges of speeding and DWLR impaired rev. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 15.

Aug. 27

INCIDENT: Drug violations were reported at High Country Recycling, 8468 U.S. Highway 421 N. in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at 2129 Browns Chapel Road Unit 1 in Boone.

INCIDENT: Escape from custody/resisting arrest was reported at 307 Davis Drive in Boone.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 338 Sunny Hill Lane in Deep Gap.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 271 N. Woods Road in Boone, was charged with FTA and escape from custody or resist arrest. He was held under a $61,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 1.

ARREST: A male suspect, 31, of 133 Poplar Creek Estate in Todd, was charged with assault on a female. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

Aug. 28

INCIDENT: Assault on a female was reported on Slabtown Road in Zionville.

Aug. 29

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 232 Bluebird Lane in Boone.

INCIDENT: An unattended death was reported at 5663 Old U.S. Highway 421 N. in Zionville.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 1033 New River Hills in Boone.

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 251 Rau Estes Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: DVPO violation was reported at 6997 Old U.S. 421 S. in Deep Gap.

ARREST: A male suspect, 29, of 5594 Ronniedale Road in Trinity, was charged with DVPO violation. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 18, of 1949 Shacktown Road in Yadkinville, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 30.

Aug. 30

INCIDENT: Drug violations and trespassing were reported at 730 Fallview Lane Unit 1 in Boone.

INCIDENT: Communicating threats was reported at 243 Bamboo Road Apt. 8 in Boone.

INCIDENT: Simple assault was reported at 139 Baird Drive in Boone.

ARREST: A female suspect, 30, of 3108 Village Drive in Morganton, was charged with simple assault. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

Aug. 31

INCIDENT: Aggravated assault was reported at 2279 Silverstone Road in Zionville.

INCIDENT: Damage to property and larceny were reported at 1568 Powder Horn Mountain Road in Deep Gap.

INCIDENT: Larceny and breaking and entering were reported at 318 Cara Lane in Boone.

Aug. 24

INCIDENT: Dissemination of obscenity, sexual exploitation of a minor and solicit child by computer were reported at 1500 Blowing Rock Road.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 108 Queen St.

INCIDENT: Harassment was reported at Watauga High School.

INCIDENT: Shoplifting was reported at 1855 Blowing Rock Road.

ARREST: A female suspect, 23, of 1612 Jekyll Lane in Waxhaw, was charged with RDO, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. She was held under a $750 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A male suspect, 31, of 573 Margo Road in Boone, was charged with failure to appear. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

Aug. 25

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at Wal-Mart.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at Wal-Mart.

ARREST: A male suspect, 30, of 1377 Blowing Rock Road, was charged with no insurance, failure to register a vehicle and larceny. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A male suspect, 24, of 450 Rock Quarry Road in Fleetwood, was charged with failure to appear. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 22.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 1469 West King St. Apt. 201 in Boone, was charged with DWLR. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 454 Oak St. Ste. A, was charged with failure to appear. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is schedule dto appear in court on Sept. 22.

Aug. 27

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at Watauga High School.

INCIDENT: Communicating threats was reported on the 100 block of Meadow Hill Drive.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 215 Wallace Circle.

Aug. 28

INCIDENT: Possession of alcohol on unauthorized area and underage possession were reported at Watauga High School.

INCIDENT: Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported at 135 Innovation Drive.

INCIDENT: Counterfeiting was reported at 1220 W. King St.

ARREST: A male suspect, 28, of 113 Dovick Drive in Banner Elk, was charged with dissemination of obscenity, attempted sexual exploitation of a minor and solicit child by computer. He was held under a $150,000 secured bond and si scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

ARREST: A female suspect, 48, of 319 Slabtown Road in Zionville, was charged with DWI and driving left of center. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A male suspect, 22, of 147 Fall Creek Road in Vilas, was charged with shoplifting. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 22.

ARREST: A female suspect, 34, of 146 Antelope Run, was charged with larceny. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

Aug. 29

INCIDENT: Simple assault was reported at Klondike Café.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 164 Boone Creek Drive.

INCIDENT: Affray, intoxicated and disruptive and resist/delay/obstructing a peace officer was reported at 200 Misty Lane.

INCIDENT: Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported at 521 Meadowview Drive in the parking lot.

INCIDENT: Vandalism and larceny were reported at 200 Misty Lane.

ARREST: A male suspect, 22, of 16910 Hampton Trace Road in Huntersville, was charged with intoxicated and disruptive. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 20, of 2905 Rockbrook Drive in Charlotte, was charged with underage consumption of alcohol and resist/obstruct/delay a peace officer. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 259 Linville Ave. in Linville, was charged with affray. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 1841 Lawton Bluff Road in Charlotte, was charged with affray. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 24, of 267 Church St. in Elkin, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting a public officer. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

Aug. 30

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 289 Hill St.

INCIDENT: Possession of a stolen automobile was reported at Wal-Mart.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 16759 Commons Creek Drive in Charlotte, was charged with DWI. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.
