Vilas Man and Todd Woman Busted For Meth During Traffic Stop at Wilson/Deck Hill Intersection Last Week

March 20, 2013. On March 13, narcotics detectives with the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office executed a traffic stop on a white Dodge pickup truck near the intersection of Wilson Drive and Deck Hill Road in Boone. 

During the course of the traffic stop, detectives seized two plastic bags containing 2.1 grams of crystal methamphetamine, a glass methamphetamine pipe, and two syringes. 

The occupants of the vehicle, Christina Lynn Potter, 24, of Todd, and Jessie Kenneth Huffman, 27, of Vilas, were arrested on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Huffman was also charged with Reckless Driving to Endanger. 

Potter was held at the Watauga County Detention Facility under a $3,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 23, 2013.  Huffman was held under a $4,000 secured bond and is also scheduled to appear in court on April 23, 2013.  The investigation is on-going and more arrests are expected.
