Second Arrest Made in Boone Shooting on March 12

Press Release from the Watauga County Sheriff’s Department – Follow up to shooting incident: 700 Block of Howard’s Creek Road (March 12, 2012)

Sheriff Len D. Hagaman, Jr. reports that on March 15, 2012, Tyler Coty Delp turned himself in to the local North Carolina Division of Community Corrections Office of Adult Probation and Parole.

Delp, 19, was served with numerous probation violations and taken before a Watauga County Magistrate and held with no bond.

Delp was also served on two felony warrants relating to the shooting incident that occurred in the 700 Block of Howard’s Creek Road on March 12, 2012.

These felony warrants issued for Tyler Coty Delp were for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and larceny of a firearm. 

Delp was taken before a Watauga County Magistrate on these two felony charges and was given a $60,000.00 secured bond and a court date of May 17, 2012.
