Mountain City Man Arrested for Selling Stolen Clothes from Blowing Rock Home at Boone Consignment Shop

Feb. 26, 2014. On Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, Boone Police arrested Michael Ray Mabe, 22, of Mountain City, Tenn.

Mabe surrendered himself to investigators at the Boone Police Department and was charged on warrants taken by the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office and the Boone Police Department.  

Mabe was charged with felonious forgery of an instrument, felonious uttering a forged instrument, felonious breaking and entering, felonious larceny after breaking and entering, felonious possession of stolen property, and felonious obtaining property by false pretense.  

Mabe is alleged to have broken into a residence in the Blowing Rock area of Watauga County and then sold clothes from the break-in at a consignment shop in Boone. 

Mabe was assigned a March 20, 2014, court date and released on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
