Man Attempts To Burn Down Dan’l Boone Inn, Boone Police & Crime Stoppers Seek Info

High Country Crime Stoppers and Boone Police seek the public’s assistance in solving the following crime:

On Thursday, June 1, 2017, at approximately 11:25 p.m., an unknown white male was recorded on video attempting to set fire to the Daniel Boone Inn, 130 Hardin Street. Videos and still images of the suspect are attached.  

The restaurant was closed at the time of the incident. Minimal damage occurred.

“He was able to light a very small fire next to a rear door but thankfully it didn’t progress any. Boone Police investigators along with Boone Fire personnel are working this incident,” said Boone Police Sgt. Shane Robbins.
