Ingalls Man Arrested by Avery County Sheriff’s Office for Marijuana Growing Operation

On March 29, 2016 at approximately 5:15 p.m. Detectives with the Avery County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant 45 Nutcracker Lane after receiving information about a marijuana grow operation.

After entering the residence it was discovered that two marijuana grow operations were inside the residence. One grow was found in a bedroom closet and the second one was found in a locked room in the back of the residence.

Items seized were between 45 and 50 marijuana plants of various heights, grow lights seeds, and a hydroponic growing system.

Marijuana buds were found drying and stored in a glass jar ready for sale.

Arrested was Roger Mabry, 43 from the Ingalls community.
