Police: Stolen Log Splitters, Trailers in Western Watauga, Assault at Boone Mall

High Country Crime Stoppers and the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office seek the public’s assistance in solving the following crimes:

The Watauga County Sheriff’s Office requests the help of Crime Stoppers. There have been 4 log splitters and two utility trailers stolen in the western end of Watuaga County during the month of November 2015. Larcenies have occurred in the Vilas, Cove Creek, and Zionsville areas. If anyone has any information about these larcenies, please contact the Sheriff’s Office. If citizens own log splitters, trailers and power tools, they are encouraged to secure those items.

Also, on Friday, Nov. 6, 2015, an unknown, college aged male, assaulted a man in the parking lot of the Boone Mall near TJ Maxx. The assailant is described a medium build white male with shoulder length curly blond hair. He left in a dark colored SUV or pickup truck.
