March 12, 2012. BOONE — Daniel Wesley Miller, 33, of 178 Jake Miller Rd., Boone, was shot just after midnight, March 12. There are two suspects connected to the incident and their names have not been released by the Watauga County Sheriff’s Department. According to reports, the suspects fled the scene in a white SUV. The shooting happened at 783 Howards Creek Rd., Boone, and the victim sustained injuries to his right hip and right middle finger.
