Friday night, Café Portofino in downtown Boone will give you a chance to see a rising Nashville star in concert!

Country music up-and-comer Whitney Layne will play a special show on Porto’s famous patio beginning at 5 p.m. and will play songs including her popular 2015 single, “Broke But Tan.”

Ray’s Weather calls for sunshine and good times, so stop by for dinner and drinks and kick back to some great new music.

Portofino Manager Courtney Tatum said the restaurant is happy to host this promising musician and her band.

“She’s an upcoming star at the moment. We have listened to her music and we like her a lot,” said Tatum. “She’s been around this area touring a lot of Nashville and trying to come this way to the mountains, so we decided to give it a shot and get her out here to get her some exposure here in Boone.”

Tatum said folks of all ages and from all walks of life can enjoy Layne’s down-to-earth personality and easygoing tunes.

“She’s so relatable,” said Tatum. “Especially in this area, the age range that she will reach is going to be fairly broad with her music.”

Local favorites Adam Church, Nick Vaughn and Eryn Dowd will open for Layne with a set of country/bluegrass music you’re guaranteed to love.

In addition to the great music, you’ll enjoy the best specials in town on dinner and drinks and a chance to unwind on Portofino’s patio, which sits right in the heart of downtown Boone.

Drink specials for the night will include:
$2.00 Coors and Coors Light
$4.00 Pink Panties
$5.00 LIT’s
$6.00 Jager Bombs

“The patio is spacious and we have great specials every day,” Tatum said. “You can come hang out with your friends, you can bring your dog, you can sit down to have dinner — it’s just a nice casual place where people like to hang out.”

Café Portofino offers live music on the patio most weekends and great daily specials every week. To stay up to date on what’s going on at Porto, visit cafeportofino.net or check it out on Facebook.
