White Fence Farm Opens New Rental Property in Blowing Rock, Ribbon Cutting Set for Friday

Want to take a sneak peek at Blowing Rock’s latest vacation rental? Owners Fulton and Denise Lovin invite you to swing by and check the place out on Friday before you hit the town for the evening.

The Lovins’ newest rental property sits at the heart of Blowing Rock on Sunset Drive, providing a centrally located place to stay when you’re spending time in the resort community.

The red cottage on Sunset is one of several rental properties under the umbrella of the Lovins’ primary business, White Fence Farm, a picturesque rustic wedding venue that sits just across the state line in Trade, Tennessee.

“We have branched out to accommodate not only wedding guests but the general public, since our locations in Boone and Blowing Rock are prime,” said Denise.

Fulton and Denise purchased the property, which used to serve as a law office, on Jan. 1 and invested three months of renovation work into the home. Now, as summertime settles in, they’re ready to show it off.

“It sleeps eight with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and updated kitchen with natural cherry slab countertops,” Denise said. “The walls are covered in repurposed barn wood and it has a rustic yet artsy feel. There is a fireplace, a deck with a grill, a porch swing and a handmade wood bench and fire pit. It features natural original hardwood floors and is decorated with creative vintage and antique pieces.”

With two popular restaurants and bars just 50 feet away and a 100-yard walk to the park, you just can’t beat the convenience of Sunset Drive, although it’s still a peaceful and quiet place to stay.

“The best thing about this house is its prime location. It’s walking distance to everywhere in the middle of downtown,” said Denise. “You don’t have to use your car to go anywhere in Blowing Rock.”

The ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 24 at the cottage, 250 Sunset Drive. Stop by to tour the house and enjoy wine and cheese before you head across the street to the Inn at Ragged Gardens for Best Cellar’s live music with the Harris Brothers.

“We are thrilled to bring White Fence Farm to the Blowing Rock area,” the Lovins said.
