If you’ve driven on N.C. 105 in Boone, you’ve probably noticed the excavation taking place across the street from Ingles Markets parking lot.
According to the Boone Planning and Inspections office, a Fresenius Medical Care office building is planned. The property is owned by Boone Medical Properties LLC and the registered agent is Hunt Shuford Jr. of Hickory.
Brenda Henson with the Boone Planning and Inspections office said that while a building permit hasn’t been issued yet, the plans call for a 24,796-square-foot building.
The total land area is 3.616 acres with most of that acreage (3.06) to be disturbed. The project is expected to cost $3.2 million.
A spokesman for Fresenius Medical Care didn’t answer multiple phone calls on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the company’s website:
“Fresenius Medical Care North America is the premier health care company focused on delivering the highest quality care to people with renal and other chronic conditions.
