July 2, 2014. Two multi-million dollar properties in the High Country will be on the auction block in August.
Miami-based Platinum Luxury Auctions is conducting the auction and local real estate company Vincent Properties is the brokerage firm for the both of the transactions, which concern a 6,500-square-foot home in Boone that was previously offered at $3.2 million and a separate 5,500-square-foot home in Blowing Rock that was previously offered at $2.6 million.
Each will sell to the highest bidder at or above the auction reserve price of $1 million on Aug. 1 and 2.
The nine-acre Blowing Rock estate is called Château Chanson du Vent and is a gated, Williamsburg style estate.
“With a +/-5,500 square foot residence situated atop 9 manicured and private acres, Château Chanson du Vent (or, Song of the Wind) provides a tasteful alternative for those interested in something other than the ‘luxury log cabin’ aesthetic,” the auction house lists on its website.

The 32-acre Boone estate is a Bob Timberlake Signature Home that is located within the private subdivision Timber Ridge at the Coves.
“A Bob Timberlake-inspired design, the Property exudes rustic mountain luxury and Adirondack style with exceptional attention to detail. Natural woods are found in heavy doors, custom-crafted banisters, moldings, and railings, in concert with stone, granite and glass to create a beautiful arrangement of finishes,” a description of the property states.
