Tweetsie Railroad Hosts Annual Job Fair Feb. 28

Feb. 13, 2015. If you’re looking for employment that provides a fun and rewarding work experience, Tweetsie Railroad may be the perfect fit. Plan to attend the park’s annual Job Fair on Saturday, Feb. 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Tweetsie Palace Saloon to learn more about seasonal employment for 2015, including special events positions.

TWEETSIE TRAIN 1The 2015 season begins April 10 and runs through November 1 and will mark Tweetsie’s 59th season of welcoming guests to North Carolina’s first theme park. Tweetsie traditionally hires approximately 250 employees to operate the park and entertain guests.

A diverse range of opportunities are available including ticket sales, accounting, entertainment, ride operations, food service, retail sales, security, grounds maintenance, first aid, the Deer Park zoo and more. The Job Fair will give candidates the opportunity to meet with Tweetsie’s management team, ask questions and express their desire to be a part of the Tweetsie Railroad experience. Tweetsie Railroad will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays starting April 10, including Memorial Day Monday, and seven days a week from May 29 through August 16. The park returns to the weekend schedule from Aug. 17 through Nov. 1, including Labor Day Monday. The 2015 season ends Sunday, Nov. 1. The park’s regular hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., but will be open until 9:00 p.m. on July 4 for the Fireworks Extravaganza and June 20 and 27 and July 11, 18 and 25 for Cool Summer Nights. Daily admission to Tweetsie Railroad is $41 for adults and $27 for children ages 3 through 12. Children 2 and under are admitted free. The Ghost Train® Halloween Festival will take place Friday and Saturday nights September 25 through October 31 from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with an admission price of $34 for adults and children.
