Tweetsie Railroad to Hold Auditions for Performers, Dancers, Characters Jan. 30-31

Tweetsie Railroad is looking for singers, dancers, actors, equestrians, magicians and specialty acts who want to be part of North Carolina’s longest operating theme park!

Tweetsie Auditions

Auditions will be held on Jan. 30-31 at the Tweetsie in the Palace Saloon. On Jan. 30, registration begins at 9 a.m. and auditions will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. On Jan. 31, registration begins at 1 p.m. and auditions will take place from 2-4 p.m. All performers will audition with a monologue, song and simple movement or dance exercise. Specialty roles will require additional auditions.

Performers are auditioning for roles in the Wild West Train Adventure, Diamond Lil’s Can-Can Revue, Country Clogging Jamboree, Hopper & Porter’s Musical Celebration and Miner’s Mountain Magic Show. The parts will feature cowboys, horse riders, Wild West characters, singers, dancers, costumed characters and more.

Each audition will include a monologue and one upbeat song with special requests for cloggers and magicians. If a performer is not available to attend the auditions on Jan. 30 or 31, Tweetsie Railroad will accept video audition submissions. Casting decisions will be made prior to March 12. Auditions for the 2016 Ghost Train Halloween Festival will take place in August.
