Oct. 21, 2014. Lost Province Brewing Company in Boone has already established itself as one of the best places to grab a bite to eat, an ice cold brew and some live music on the weekends. But on Friday, Oct. 24, Lost Province will kick off what is expected to be many future nights of major live entertainment with a full concert featuring singer/songwriter Jeff Black.

“Tickets are still available on our website, or you can come by the brewery to purchase your tickets,” said Lynne Mason, CEO of the Lost Providence. “We will be limited to just 150 tickets because of our capacity, so we really encourage people to get their tickets in advance.”

Leftover tickets, if any, will be available at the door the night of the show.

The venue will still be open for dinner prior to the show, so fear not pizza lovers. The concert will be held starting at 9 p.m. on the stage inside the main dining area, and a special menu will be available during the concert for hungry listeners. The bar will also be open to keep dry mouths at bay while attendees are singing along.

While Lost Providence has become known for live local music on weekends, this is the first large, nationally-known act that will be coming to the venue since it was opened this summer.

“This is going to be really fun,” Mason said. “We have been doing live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights which has been going really well. But this is going to be great. The fun part of bringing Jeff Black is that not only is he a talented musician, but he is also a personal friend of our chef, David Mason. It is a bit of a homecoming for them, so it will be a lot of fun.”

From Black’s biography:

Black’s songs have earned GRAMMY recognition, radio chart-topping stats and numerous BMI awards. Although flying below the radar as a performer himself, he has been recognized by NPR as a musical pioneer in the digital age and his catalogue of critically acclaimed albums continues to grow. Composing music for film and television, his credits include numerous indie-film soundtracks and a repertoire of songs cut by artists as diverse as Alison Krauss & Union Station, Waylon Jennings, BlackHawk, Dierks Bentley, Jon Randall, John Oates, Jerry Douglas and Sam Bush. Black has forged a reputation as a true folk troubadour entertaining audiences globally for over three decades. A master songwriter and performer in the tradition of the great storytellers, his passionate, soul driven live performances of songs from his vast catalog are not to be missed.

“He is quite the performer,” Mason said. “It will be a primarily acoustic show. He is a singer and a songwriter who has played with a lot of bands. I think this will be a fantastic show.”
