July 26, 2013. This weekend, July 26-27, the High Country will play host to the Second Annual High Country Pet Fest in Banner Elk.
Held at Banner Elk Elementary School, the second annual High Country Pet Fest is a two-day event which will celebrate the High Country’s love for their pets with activities, live entertainment, vendors and even the famous Purina Dog Team performing their antics like agility shows and frisbee tosses throughout the day.
Visitors can even enter their own dogs in a pet show to try to win the titles for categories like best tail-wagger, youngest puppy, best handshake and more.
