July 2, 2013. Sugar Mountain Resort isn’t just for winter fun. Beginning on July 4, Sugar Mountain Resort will be offering scenic rides on their ski lift for visitors to enjoy.
While riding the lifts, take in the sights as you cruise along for a 45 minute roundtrip adventure up to one of Sugar Mountain’s famous peaks, Summit #2, which is 5,300 feet up in elevation.
This breathtaking ride is also a great way to get your mountain bike up to the top of the summit to ride back down on Sugar Mountain’s remarkable mountain biking trails. Attendants will be available to assist riders with their bikes, and helmets are required for all riders.
Rides run from 10 a.m. through 5:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays from Independence Day through Sept. 1. The lift rides will also be running on Thursday, July 4 and Friday, July 5, and again in the fall for Oktoberfest on Oct. 12 and 13.
Tickets are $12 for a one-time lift ride, $25 for an all day pass, $8 each for groups of 20 or more for a one-time pass and children 4 years and under get in completely free with an adult. Summer season lift passes are $250 per person for the entire summer season.
