Locals and visitors alike poured into the High Country over the weekend for SAVOR Blowing Rock, formerly known as the Blue Ridge Wine and Food Festival.

BR Chamber Events Director Billie Rogers said more than 250 people attended TASTE! A Restaurant Showcase on Thursday night.

“It went really well and the weather was amazing. We had a fantastic turnout for our Thursday night restaurant showcase, and we are still getting compliments from people who say it’s the best event that we do,” said Rogers. “People really loved our grand tasting, too, and they loved the mixture of distilleries, wineries and breweries because there was something for everyone.”

The four-hour grand tasting event kept a consistent crowd of 600-700 folks in the main tent.

“We had people coming and going for the entire four hours under the tent,” Rogers said. “It was a really nice crowd and it wasn’t too crowded.”
