Saturday, June 22, Marks the Inaugural Avery County Beer Fest with Blind Squirrel Brewery

June 18, 2013. The Inaugural Avery County Beer Fest is Scheduled for this Saturday, June 22. 

The first ever Beer Fest, held in conjunction with Blind Squirrel Brewery, will be held at Toe River Lodge in Plumtree, NC from noon until 8 p.m. 

imgres-2At the event, guests can enjoy vendors, live musical entertainment, cornhole games, delicious food vendors, fly fishing demonstrations from River Edge Outfitters, disc golf games and other great entertainment. 

The entire event is free for the public to attend, however no pets are allowed. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or a blanket with them to sit on while they enjoy the festival. The festival will showcase local wineries and breweries within the community who will hold free tastings of their products, with the option to purchase those products during the Beer Fest. 

If you do not want to drive to this event, call the Avery Chamber of Commerce to catch a ride on the bus!

June 27 will mark the High Country Trolley Wine Tour. This wine tour runs each 4th Thursday through October beginning at noon. Tickets are limited and available now, and ticket reservations are required. Payments are accepted by Mastercard, Discover, Visa, cash and by check. Tickets for the event are $50 each and tickets for designated drivers are only $25.
