Premier Sotheby’s International Realty has announced the acquisition of Village Real Estate of Blowing Rock at 1127 Main Street. The addition will bring the brokerage’s number of offices in North Carolina to seven and will be the second location in Blowing Rock, the first being at 159 Sunset Boulevard.
A fixture of home buying and selling in the High Country for over a decade, Village Real Estate’s top-selling associates have over a century of combined real estate experience between them.
“Becoming part of a brokerage that has a history in North Carolina and appreciates our beautiful area was extremely important to us,” Richard Puckett, one of three owners of Village Real Estate, said. “Not only has Premier Sotheby’s International Realty been in North Carolina since the early ‘80s, but its ties to strong national and international networks means we will be able to offer more to buyers and sellers in the High Country.”
“Village Real Estate brings with it hard-working and respected associates, all of whom we are excited to have join the Premier Sotheby’s International Realty team,” Judy Green, president and CEO of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, said. “The past year saw tremendous growth for us in North Carolina, and we are proud to be bringing on a company with such deep roots in an area we have come to love.” The company has recently expanded to Asheville and will celebrate the office’s official opening in June 2016.
Headquartered in Naples, Florida, Premier Sotheby’s International Realty has over 900 associates and employees in 36 locations throughout Florida and North Carolina.
The brokerage has been in North Carolina since 1982, when its parent company, The Lutgert Companies, broke ground on Linville Ridge, a country club community marketed and sold exclusively by Premier Sotheby’s International Realty.
In 2016, the annual Real Trends 500 survey ranked the firm No. 30 by volume in its survey of the top U.S. residential sellers. Premier Sotheby’s International Realty also benefits from an association with the storied Sotheby’s auction house, established in 1744.
