June 18, 2013. Mt. Jefferson’s first weekend art program seems to be a keeper! Last weekend, on Saturday and Sunday, there were over 55 participants painting in the woods!
After an introduction to Mt. Jefferson’s park information and nature-based impressionism, the painting began. Each family of artists went off to find a quiet place to sit and paint in the park.
Those who stayed longer were asked to bring the bark brushes to the office and place them by the door, and the program was a success! The paint used was of course a non-toxic, American made tempera.
