Local general contractors, Capehart & Washburn, LLC (C&W) announce their expansion of products and services offered at their new office location in the Southgate Shopping Center next to Walmart (two doors up from Coyote Kitchen).
Partners for nearly a decade, Matthew Capehart Long & Phil Washburn have long wantedto enhance the customer experience by offering more of a onestopshop for their construction clients. As proven builders and remodelers, they are expanding to include full design services, a log home division, a full service kitchen and bath division and showroom, a licensed electrician, garage doors, as well as a landscaping and grading division.
Long says, “Economic conditions and the demand for new homes and renovation projects is really improving. We have survived the recent challenging times and are in the position to offer clients an expanded array of products and services all in one location. Not to mention, by having more control over more aspects of the build, we can save our clients money and better control project schedules.”
The numerous pieces and parts of the build process that C&W can now offer inhouse will, “simply make for an overall less stressful and more productive customer experience,” says Long. “Technology has improved to allow more sophistication in our computeraideddesign.
Our Chief Architect software 3D renderings and ‘flythroughs’ really allow the client to see and better understand a floor plan or design concept earlier in the decision making process and before construction begins,” says Washburn.
C&W have partnered with Jeremy Bertrand, who will be handling their new log home division. Jeremy comes with 5 years experience at Log Homes of America (Jefferson, NC) as their National Sales Manager, and previously as the Executive Director of the Log Homes Council at the National Association of Home Builders.
“One of the biggest challenges for many log home clients is they are forced to coordinate with too many parties to get their home built, causing confusion and frustration. With this partnership, we handle the design, log package, cost estimating, and full turnkey construction of the home all in one location with one point of contact.”
The C&W Kitchen & Bath division offers a full cabinet line, as dealers for Wellborn Cabinetry. Wellborn is a state of the art cabinet manufacturer located in Ashland, Alabama, who guarantees a 34 week turnaround time from order to receipt, with over 30,000 options of species type, grain patterns, color variation and textures for every room, home, budget and imagination.
C&W’s office showroom also displays concrete options by Andy McDaniel of BDWG Concrete Studio, granite by High Country Stone and Cambria quartz countertop options.
High Country native, John R. Lawrence III, is C&W’s licensed electrician. John handles all electrical projects from service calls to new construction wiring and has over 20 years experience in the electrical trade.
Also within the C&W umbrella is Clay Boykin who is heading up the Grading and Landscape division. Clay and his crew can handle everything from clearing, grading and excavation, retaining walls, and residential or commercial landscape design and construction.
Clay is a seasoned landscaper who says, “Landscape design is such a big part of the overall home building experience. With C&W’s design services, our marriage will only add to the ease of the one-stop-shop experience for our clients.”
Partners Matt Long and Phil Washburn came together at the height of the housing boom in 2007, partnering to launch their construction company in the residential and commercial sectors.
“It was not an easy start,” says Long… “shortly after our partnership, the housing market took a significant nose dive, so we really had to sharpen our pencils and operate as efficiently as possible.”
Those tougher years were the building blocks for the expanded options now offered, conveniently in one location. Both Matt & Phil have served as Presidents of the local High Country Home Builders Association.
Capehart & Washburn, LLC invites local and seasonal residents in to see their new headquarters and showroom, which officially opened on Aug. 10.
