Lees-McRae College Offers Unique Summer Classes Open to the Community and Active Students Alike

April 26, 2013. If you would like to learn about the region, brush up on business skills, make new friends, pick up a new language, or gain experience at an internship, then come to Lees-McRae for summer school. With topics ranging from Appalachian photography and clogging to small business accounting and clinical wildlife rehabilitation, there is a course to match every personality. Online and seated sections, plus introductory and advanced classes, will be offered.

“Students not actively enrolled at Lees-McRae are welcome to audit or fully enroll in Lees-McRae Summer School,” said Lynn Hinshaw, registrar. “We’re excited about the courses being offered this summer and we feel many of the classes would be of interest to the community. We hope community members and students will take advantage of our summer school!”

If you wish to audit a course, meaning you will not receive college credit, the cost is only $85 per class. Current students participating in summer school will have the option to live on campus.
