Hound Ears Club names Reagan as Director of Communications and Membership Relations

Oct. 1, 2012. Hound Ears Club, one of North Carolina’s top private-equity clubs, has named Jason Reagan as Director of Communications and Membership Relations.

A resident of Boone, Reagan will be tasked with ensuring clear, concise, effective, timely, accurate and consistent communications, both internally among the club’s board of directors, staff, members and their guests, as well as Hound Ears Property Owners Association members.

Reagan will also be responsible for external communications to rental and lodge guests, non-member golf and tennis guests, prospective members and property owners, area reciprocal and exchange club partners, the High Country community and the public.

“We are thrilled to have someone with Jason’s experience on our team. Our hope is to bring our communications into the 21st century, while still keeping in touch with the wonderful traditions of Hound Ears, and that is by not forgetting the importance of still having great conversation over a cup of coffee.” Don Vance, Chief Operating Officer and General Manager, said.

Reagan has worked in the communications sector for the past 16 years as both a journalist and journalism instructor. From 2003-10, Reagan served as group editor for Mountain Times Publications in Boone. He has also worked as an adjunct journalism instructor with Appalachian State University.

“I’m looking forward to working with the dynamic, creative team here at Hound Ears to find more and better ways to serve our members,” Reagan said.

Centrally located near Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk, N.C., Hound Ears Club comprises 750 acres nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Established in 1964, the private community’s golf course was recently named a “Top 100 Tar Heel” course by Business North Carolina for the sixth consecutive year.
