The results are in, and winners of Haircut 101’s Valentine’s Day Hot Lips 2016 Contest have been announced!
More than 60 local folks sported their favorite bold lip color and puckered up for this year’s contest, planting their kisses on paper doilies for display in the salon.
“I think it went very well this year,” Haircut 101 Manager Brittany Benton said. “We definitely had a lot more entries than we have had in a while, so I think it was really successful.”
Hot Lips 2016
For more than a decade, the contest has been encouraging gals and guys to be a little more daring around the most romantic day of the year, and it’s been rewarding the best looking lips with some really cool prizes.
The first place-winner will receive a haircut and blow dry valued at $50, along with a $50 gift card to CoBo Sushi Bistro on Howard Street.
“It’s a chance for them to reward themselves for being awesome,” Benton said. “Not only do they get to look and feel beautiful from a nice haircut, but they get to go out and treat themselves with a friend or a special friend at CoBo. They get a really nice date out of it.”
Second- and third-place winners will take home $50 and $25 gift cards, respectively.
In keeping with the contest’s tradition, HCP’s own Ken Ketchie served as the judge this year.
Prizes are being awarded to Kristen Lineberry in first place, Taylor Lunsford in second place and MacKenzie Smith in third place.
