The cool, crisp feeling of fall weather made it just in time for the October edition of the High South Event Professionals’ monthly group meetings, which drew a great crowd out to enjoy dinner and drinks at Valle Crucis Vineyard.
Our team was there on behalf of HCP and our annual High South Weddings magazine, and we were stoked to see so many of our friends in the industry under one roof!
This time around, the HSEP also welcomed several new board members to its leadership team: Andi Gelsthorpe, Miss Match Rentals; Kathleen Haynes, Haynes Event Productions; Jessica Maceda, Wayfaring Wanderer; Kelly Williams, A Bushel and a Peck Vintage Rentals; Beth Zagst, Ugga Mugga Bakery.
Board members maintaining their seats include Elizabeth Hempfling, Events by Elizabeth Ashley; Meris Gantt, The Whole Shebang; Joann Hallmark, Hallmark Cakes; Abbie Hanchey, Leatherwood Mountains Resort; Denise Lovin, White Fence Farm.
It was a perfect night to spend time with these awesome folks and get to know them better at the vineyard, which owners Kate and Baker Henson kindly opened for us to enjoy.
“We were married in Iceland and wanted to have a wedding party for all of our friends when we got back,” said Baker. “We had just bought this place, so we fixed up the barn for our party and decided to share it with everyone else.”
