June 14, 2013. On Wednesday, June 19, the International Center for Meditation and Well-Being and Shankara, Inc. will open doors to the Blue Heaven Resort and Spa in Boone, North Carolina. The ribbon cutting will take place Wednesday, June 19th from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. and the open house on Saturday, June 22, from 1 – 5 p.m. when visitors are welcome to come and experience the resort and spa.
Blue Heaven features eight treatment rooms with private showers en-suite, thirty guest rooms, a relaxation lounge, and luxury steam and fitness rooms. All treatments will use natural, Ayurvedic skin care products and massage oils. Guests will also be welcome to dine on wholesome, tasty cuisine at Satva Restaurant. With its inspiring views and yoga and meditation programs, Blue Heaven provides an uplifting atmosphere; going beyond individual care, it also offers meeting spaces for up to 3,700.
Blue Heaven aims to be a haven of wellness and rejuvenation where East truly meets West. Apart from its holistic massages, a spa menu based on Ayurvedic modalities is designed to balance mind, body, and spirit. “Based solely on plant and herbal products, Ayurveda is the world’s oldest known medical science,” says Tom Mitchell of the Mitchell Chiropractic Healing Center, based in Raleigh.
Inaugurated in July 2012, the International Center for Meditation and Well-Being is also home to the Art of Living Foundation, an international non-profit organization that offers yoga, meditation, and breathing programs that enable participants to achieve stress-free living, inner peace, and increased productivity. “Patrons are most welcome and encouraged to complement their spa package by participating in the Center’s programs,” says Nilendu Srivastava, managing director at the center.
The resort and spa has also received a warm welcome from the local community.
