March 14, 2013. The grand opening celebration for Back in Action Chiropractic, a full-service, affordable clinic in Banner Elk, starts today, Thursday, March 14, at 5 p.m.
The event kicks off with a ribbon cutting ceremony presented by the mayor of Banner Elk and is followed by live music, a raffle, door prizes and light refreshments such as wine and cheese, tasty appetizers, snacks and drinks. Prizes include dinner for two at Sorrento’s Italian Bistro Restaurant, free gift certificates for chiropractic care and local award-winning wine.
Located at 312 Shawneehaw Avenue (directly in front of Banner Elk Café), Back in Action is run by Dr. Joseph J. Nitti, D.C. – better known by his patients as Dr. Joe.
Back in Action features the foremost equipment and techniques with an X-ray on the premises, spinal decompression, acupuncture, Hydoject tables, massage chairs, intersegmental traction tables, electrical stimulation, ultrasound advance rehab equipment and so much more.
Nitti has nearly 20 years of experience and knowledge treating neck and back pain, sciatica, headaches, shoulder and knee pain and other common discomforts and conditions incurred during everyday life or through traumatic events such as car wrecks.
“I have studied many different approaches to healing and pain relief. I choose what I feel is the most effective formula to achieve my goal of providing my patients with the care and results they expect,” Nitti said.
However, Nitti’s journey in this field began in 1996 for professional training at Parker Chiropractic College in Dallas, Tex. His unique training includes experience in advanced muscle techniques, numerous adjustment techniques from the most gentle to higher-force manual, nutrition and rehab protocols for injuries.
Also, his training includes traditional techniques as well – Chinese acupuncture and other healing techniques that he studied in Beijing under the guidance of Oriental Medicine professionals from China’s foremost hospitals.
Dr. Nitti maintains certification in Acupuncture from the State of North Carolina. He is also certified in KDT Spinal Decompression Technique for Spinal disc pain patients and is excited to bring this latest technology to the High Country.
His philosophy, he said, is focused on what is most effective for each patient.
You might recognize Dr. Joe’s voice when you step into Back in Action Chiropractic because he is the voice of “Back in Action, Back to Health,” a weekly radio show that has aired for nearly ten years.
He has introduced thousands of patients to the power of chiropractic in South America, and he has aided people locally and internationally through fundraising efforts, including collecting of shoes, toys and supplies for those less fortunate.
As part of his professional, religious and personal dedication to helping those in need, Nitti actively participates in numerous civic and charitable groups and regularly provides wellness education to both small and large groups.
Although he has traveled throughout the world, Dr. Joe’s real love is for the place he calls home, Banner Elk and the High Country, where he and his wife Marianella raise their four beautiful daughters.
“I am proud to be a part Avery County and the High Country community and am honored by every opportunity to serve the residents and friends of this beautiful and peaceful slice of heaven,” Nitti said. “I invite you to my office and look forward to providing you with the very best care that’s focused on results. Let my 20 years of experience treating literally thousands of patients work for you – to get you pain free and ‘back in action’ again!”
