Huge Savings/Gear Swap/Season-Pass Raffle at App Ski Mountain’s Slopeside Tent Sale Through Sunday, Oct. 28

Oct. 23, 2012. After hearing the predictions from Lickety-Split, the victorious woolly worm, and Ray’s Weather’s Fearless Forecast, skiers and snowboarders are already salivating over the potential powder for the upcoming winter season.

Since the ski season looks splitter, now is a good time to pick up some winter gear at the Appalachian Ski Mountain’s 15th annual Slopeside Tent Sale that takes place everyday of the week through Sunday, Oct. 28.

“It’s a good selection, kind of something for everyone,” Drew Stanley, marketing director for Appalachian Ski Mountain, said, adding that the weather should be nice and folks can walk around the ski slopes if they like.

Name-brand gear of skis, snowboards, helmets, accessories and adult, children and toddler’s clothing will be discounted up to 70 percent – brands include Nomis, Burton, 686, Foursquare, Mountain Hardwear, Spyder, Obermeyer, Nordica, Roxy, Salomon, K2, Atomic, Rossignol, Volcom, Never Summer, Ride, 4Frnt, Line, Northwave, Gnu, Libtech and more.

Not only is Appalachian Ski Mountain shredding discounts, but the tent sale also features a gear swap, where one can buy and sell used equipment – skis, snowboards, boots and poles.

“If people are really on a tight budget, they can pick up a pair of skis for not much money,” Stanley said.

Plus, a 2012-13 season membership will be raffled off.
