May 31, 2012. Mint, the newest and only authentic Indian restaurant in Boone, will be located at 203 Boone Heights Drive and should be open by mid-June.
Raj Arora, who used to own two Nawab Indian Cuisine restaurants in New York City voted among the top ten in 1993, will co-own the restaurant with Nitin Rabari.
Arora’s other restaurants include Mint in Chapel Hill, Nawab Indian Cuisine in Winston Salem, Saffron in Greensboro and Viceroy in Atlanta.

The Mint located in Chapel Hill has an extensive and exciting menu of breads freshly baked per order in a Tandoori oven, seafood like salmon masala, vegetarian specialties, tandoori chicken, lamb, goat, soups and salads and desserts like mango cheese cake.

The Mint’s lunch menu begins at $9 and the dinner menu ranges to about $25. The buffet will be $9 on weekdays and $12 on weekends if you want to try some of everything.
