Ditch the Dishes and Skip the Stress; Local Restaurants Do the Cooking for Christmas So You Don’t Have To

Dec. 16, 2013. As the Christmas season draws ever closer, many in the High Country look forward to ditching the dishes and skipping the stress of holiday cooking and enjoying a holiday meal at one of the areas spectacular local restaurants. 

On Christmas Eve, the following restaurants will be open for hungry customers:

  • The Buffet at Timberlake’s at Chetola Resort will be open on Christmas Eve from 4-6 p.m. Cost is $52 per adult, $21 for kids 7-12 and $11 for kids ages 3-6. For reservations, call 828-295-5505. Menu items include chilled seafood, salads, seared scallops, prime rib, duck breast pork loin, assorted breads and cornbread, cheesecakes, apple and pecan pies and so much more. 
  • At the Green Park Inn, the Chestnut Grill will be open from 4-6:30 p.m. offering comfort cooking with a touch of Gourmet, a thoughtful wine selection and service befitting your expectations. Reservations can be made by calling  828-414-9230. The Divide Tavern will be open until 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve. 
  • The Deli at the Blowing Rock Market will be open until 2 p.m.
  • Canyons in Blowing Rock will be open until 9 p.m.
  • Bald Guy Brew will be open until 3 p.m.
  • Foggy Rock will be open until 4 p.m.

On Christmas Day, the following restaurants will be open:
