July 18, 2012. Perched high in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk, Chalakee is the newest neighborhood in the Echota community.

Offering views of Grandfather Mountain and other Blue Ridge landmarks, Chalakee features innovative rugged timber frame building with eight condominium homes. Each unit is designed to take full advantage of the views of North Carolina’s famous mountains and the river valley below. Each home in Chalakee Lodge offers a private deck and a stainless-steel outdoor kitchen with gas grill and hood.

Each home has a covered entry, hardwood floors, tile bathrooms and showers, a cultured stone fireplace in the living area and granite countertops, custom cabinetry and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. Standard 9-foot ceilings give way to 17-foot ceilings in select upper floor residences.

Currently under construction, Chalakee Lodge features one bedroom and three bedroom units plus top floor units with three bedrooms and a loft. Prices range from $199,900 for an interior one-bedroom home to $519,000 for a top floor three-bedroom unit with loft.

Only one 3 BR, 3 Bath and one 3 BR, 4 Bath unit are still available in Chalakee Lodge, which is scheduled for completion in August.
