Jan. 3, 2014. Calling all entertainers! Tweetsie Railroad is gearing up for its biggest season yet and needs your help: North Carolina’s first theme park will hold auditions for the park’s 2014 season for entertainment positions only on Jan. 25-26.
Auditions will begin at 10 a.m. and continue until 1 p.m. in I.G. Greer Hall at Appalachian State Univeristy. Registration will begin at 9 a.m.
Tweetsie’s performance season will run from April 11 through Nov. 2. Shows feature music of various genres and styles. Open positions include singers, dancers, actors, equestrians, magicians and specialty acts. Specific audition requirements can be found online.
Advance sign up is not required, with the exception of equestrian auditions. There will be auditions for cloggers on Saturday, April 26, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Tweetsie Railroad Pavillion.
Tweetsie will also host its annual job fair on Saturday, March 1, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Palace Saloon at Tweetsie.
Associates are needed in all areas of park operations, including ticket sales, accounting, entertainment, ride operations, food service, retail sales, security, grounds maintenance, first aid the Deer Park and more.
