After 35 years, Century 21 Elliott Properties is under new ownership.
Adina Prowant, 36, who has been in the real estate industry for more than a decade on the coast and in the mountains, took over Oct. 1.
“We are going to be a much more progressive company,” Prowant said, “and we are going to focus on our future and really come up to speed with technology and the different tools that Century 21 offers.”
Prowant said she is also looking to expand Century 21 Elliott Properties’ market share in residential and commercial property transactions, sales and/or buys, and to offer clients “honesty and integrity.”
“We are here for our clients,” Prowant said. “It’s a great team atmosphere. We’re focusing on rewarding agents for their hard work. My mission statement is to grow the team into the most successful agents I can.”
While Century 21 is a national brand, this franchise is locally owned.
Prowant worked under Charlie Elliott and Martitia Mortimer in the Boone area for the past few years before taking over this month.
Prior to that she worked for several years under Jeff Sweyer, who has been one of the top Century 21 brokers for the past two decades, according to Prowant, who added that she is trying to model her business after the success of her mentor.
She also noted that the Century 21 model “works” and she said that present and future opportunities in Boone are a big reason as to why she successfully negotiated buying out the shares of Century 21 Elliott Properties from Elliott and Mortimer.
“Looking to expand and really invest in the High Country. There are so many good things going on in the commercial world and that’s filtering into the residential. I am just excited about our growing town. There’s a lot of opportunity here,” Prowant said.
She expects to settle in before changing the name to befit the new ownership.
