June 28, 2013. At its annual banquet on June 26, the Boone Sunrise Rotary Club installed new officers for the upcoming year. 

Boone Sunrise Rotary Club’s 50 members plan to continue to practice Rotary’s motto, “Service Above Self” in the coming year by supporting local and international projects. These include Rotary International’s Polio Plus Campaign, which has helped reduce world-wide polio cases to a total of 69, Hospitality House, American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, Appalachian Women’s Fund, Appalachian Theater, scholarships for local students and TAPS, a water project in Africa. 

Boone Sunrise Rotary Club meets on Tuesday mornings at 7:30 a.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott in Boone. Boone Sunrise Rotary Club will also be holding its annual Fruit Sale in November and December for delivery of fresh fruit before Christmas.
