Sept. 5, 2013. The Blowing Rock Community Foundation presents the first annual Blowing Rock Social Stroll on Friday, Sept. 6 at 5-7 p.m. at Blowing Rock Park.
The stroll itself will begin at 6 p.m. behind Blowing Rock Park, and costs $10 for individuals and $20 for families including up to four people . The cost includes a water bottle favor.
“We wanted to bring attention to our organization and get people more familiar with what we do for our community,” said Kim McDonald, chair for the event.
“We want to focus on families and children in our community with this inaugural event.”
The stroll is family friendly and leashed dogs are welcome as well.
“The stroll will begin behind the park at 6 p.m. and go up Mayview, up to the Sunset Walk and come back down. You can walk, jog, bring your dog and your strollers!” McDonald said.
