Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce Commemorative Ornament Sold Out Days After Monday Release

by Madison V. Fisler

Dec. 18, 2013. Three days after it was unveiled to the public, the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce’s 2013 commemorative Christmas ornament has completely sold out.

urlOn Monday, the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce unveiled the highly-anticipated Blowing Rock Commemorative Christmas Tree Ornament for 2013.

The ornament features the image of the Grover Robbins House, the current Chamber of Commerce location, against a blue background.

“Every year we choose a different feature of Blowing Rock to have on the ornament, and this year we chose the Grover Robbins House,” said Terri Bailey, membership services coordinator for the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce.

“There have been 19 ornaments so far, with the first one coming out in 1994,” Bailey said.

The ornaments are always highly sought after and usually sell out during the first few days following release.

They are so highly sought after, in fact, that the Chamber is missing two from its collection.

“We have collected all but two ornaments in our collection,” Bailey said.

“We are missing ‘The Blowing Rock’ and ‘The Village,’ so if anyone wants to donate them or sell them back to the Chamber, we would be very interested in getting them.”
