Members of the Banner Elk Chamber of Commerce convened to catch up with one another over dinner last week for the organization’s latest Business After Hours event, which is always held on the second Wednesday of each month.
Area entrepreneurs and leaders in the town’s business community enjoyed catching up on local happenings at Silver Springs Farm, a restricted residential reserve that offers single family homes, townhomes and office spaces.
Better Days and Nights, a therapeutic holistic counseling center in Banner Elk, teamed up with Silver Springs Farm to host this month’s event.
“Peter Paglen of Better Days and Nights rents one of our offices for his counseling, so we decided to co-host the After Hours event together. We enjoy showing people the offices and giving them the option to lease them if they want,” said Bev Payne of Silver Springs Farm. “We have a big deck so we opened it up for a venue that’s a little bit different. It’s a beautiful setting along the creek.
“It was a wonderful event with a lot of people there. I just think it is wonderful for people to network and see what other businesses can provide. It is absolutely necessary to connect with all of the business people in the community. We can help each other and we can grow the community to be much better by participating in the chamber.”
