April 18, 2014. Avery County’s first Farmers’ Market of the season was held yesterday afternoon from 5-7 p.m. at Lees-McRae in Banner Elk.
The Avery County Farmers’ Market takes place in the spring and summer seasons on Thursday afternoons from 5-7 p.m. at Lees-McRae in Banner Elk and Fridays from 4-6 p.m. at the Avery County Cooperative Extension in Newland.
At both markets you can find fresh produce and baked goods, as well as flowers, poultry, jams and jellies and much more. For more information, call 828-791-1061.
