New and prospective members of the Avery Chamber convened at the chamber’s office on Thursday night for its annual open house, which draws in local folks for a celebration of the community’s business network.
The open house is held every January in addition to the chamber’s regularly scheduled Business After Hours events and brings everyone together for a good time.
“It’s a celebration of what we do for our chamber members and our prospective members, so we have a little bit of everybody,” said Chamber Executive Director Melynda Martin Pepple.
The event drew close to 100 people, who enjoyed food and door prizes from local establishments and fellowship with friends and neighbors.
“We had an excellent turnout,” Pepple said.
Pepple said the chamber and visitor center are dedicated to promoting local business partnerships, marketing the community and exploring new ways to promote tourism and commerce in the area.
