10th Annual Carole Moore McLeod Entrepreneur Summit to be held Nov. 9 at Appalachian State University

Nov. 2, 2012. Anyone interested in buying, owning, growing, or even selling their business can learn from the experts at the 10th annual Carole Moore McLeod Entrepreneur Summit on Nov. 9 at Appalachian State University. 

More than 50 business owners from around the United States will be participating.  Speakers and participants will have the ability to interact, challenge each other, and learn about trends in entrepreneurship when attending this event.  Speakers are given the stage to talk about their experiences as a business owner, be it starting a business, growing the business, and failing or selling the business.  Many speak on what field of business they are in, the challenges they’ve faced, how they’ve kept going through tough economic times, adapted to changes in technology, and plans for success and growth in the future.  Most all topics relevant to owning, operating, and selling a business will be covered, and just about every genre of business will be too!

Multiple concurrent sessions run at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. in the Walker College of

Business, Raley Hall.  The event is free and open to the public.  No registration necessary. 

The entrepreneur summit was named for Carole Moore McLeod in recognition of her gift that provides ongoing support of the program. She is a 1981 business graduate of the Walker College of Business.

Housed in the Walker College of Business, the Transportation Insight Center for Entrepreneurship was created in 2006 to support faculty, student and regional interest in entrepreneurship. 

Seating is limited. Parking is available in the Rivers Street parking deck (there is a small fee for parking).
